FAQ

Here you will find the answers to the most frequently asked questions about your device

To update your device, follow these simple steps: 1) Connect your device to your PC. 2) Download the BTUpdater software from the "UPDATE" section of this page. Note: Currently, BTUpdater is only compatible with PCs (Windows operating systems). Unfortunately, it is not available for Mac devices (iOS operating systems).
Want to connect your device to your phone or other devices? It's easy! Follow these simple steps: 1. Turn on pairing mode: Press and hold the large left button for 7 seconds. The LED will start flashing blue and red. 2. Search for the device: On your phone, go to Bluetooth settings and search for devices. Your device name should appear. 3. Confirm: Select your device name and, if prompted, enter the PIN 0000. The LED on your device will flash 4 times to confirm pairing. That's it! Your device is now connected.
I can pair 3 intercoms and 1 of either a phone, a motorcycle TFT display, or a GPS.
To find out if your BT Mini is a Q21 or Q22 model, look at the back of your device: You will find a label with some writing on it. Among these writings, there is a special number called a "serial number". Focus on the first two digits after the letter "Q". If you see a number smaller than or equal to 21 (for example, Q20), you have a Q21 model. If you see a number greater than or equal to 22 (for example, Q24), you have a Q22 model.
Intercoms Version Q21: You need to connect the device to your computer. Download the software from the update section in the top bar on this page. Intercoms Version Q22: Press and hold the "UP" button for about 12 seconds and keep it pressed until you hear the battery status in the desired language.
The speakers in your helmet might not be positioned correctly. Try this: Check the speakers: Take off your helmet and check if the speakers are directly in front of your ears. Do a test: Remove the speakers from the helmet and place them directly on your ears. Can you hear a difference? If the sound is better, the problem is with the way they are mounted.
The new regulation stipulates that every component of the helmet, from the visor to the intercom, must be homologated according to the new standards, an aspect that was not considered by the previous regulation. Regarding communication systems and therefore all intercoms for communication with one's devices or with other passengers or riders, they must be homologated together with the helmet as SA (Specific Accessories) or UA (Universal Accessories) and therefore must receive a specific certification. The BT Mini is the first model in the world to obtain such homologation and the entire Midland range has been designed to comply with the strict parameters introduced by the ECE 22-06.
a) Intercoms Version Q21: You need to be careful when turning the device on and off. To turn the device on and off, you need to hold down the Control button (large left button) and the Down button for 3 seconds; if you accidentally hold the buttons down for too long, the pairings will be reset. b) Intercoms Version Q22: Updating the firmware introduces a change in the way pairings are reset, this avoids the problem of their unintentional deletion. To reset the pairings, with the intercom on, you will need to hold down all three buttons for 9 seconds.
