FAQ

Here you will find the answers to the most frequently asked questions about your device

Connecting your SMARTCOM to a phone, TFT multimedia display or GPS is easy! Just follow these steps:

1. With the device turned off, press and hold the front button (Volume +) for 7 seconds. The LED will flash blue and red—ready for pairing.

2. On your phone, display or GPS, go to Bluetooth settings and look for "SMARTCOM by MIDLAND".

3. Tap to confirm and, if prompted, enter the PIN code 0000. The SMARTCOM LED will flash four times to confirm successful pairing.

Voilà! Your device is now connected and ready to use.

Tip: If your bike has a TFT multimedia display, pair it directly with the intercom and only pair your smartphone to that display for optimal connection.

SMARTCOM supports pairing of 1 intercom and 1 device (phone, TFT display or GPS). You can also pair 1 intercom device (SMARTCOM, ULTRACOM, Midland or other brands). Any new pairing on the same button overwrites the previous one.

You can pair intercoms from any brand!

SMARTCOM, ULTRACOM, Midland: With the device on, hold the rear button (Volume –) for 7 seconds until the LEDs flash blue and red. On the other device, start intercom pairing per its manual. SMARTCOM will confirm with a flash and voice message.

Other brands: Repeat the same front procedure (rear button hold), then start phone pairing on the other intercom per its manual.

Note: A new update will soon allow native connection to OBI (Cardo) and some Sena and Interphone models.

Updating is quick!

Your helmet speakers may be misaligned.

2. Test: place speakers directly on your ears—if it sounds better, adjust the mounting.

Make sure speakers are properly positioned for optimal audio quality!
